Daniel Kepel-Young studied Violin and Viola in London with Brenda Stewart of the Bingham String Quartet, and for his Bachelor of Arts Honors degree in Music at university in Cambridge, England. While at university Daniel toured Europe and the United States with Anglia Ruskin University Chamber Orchestra and Choir. Before moving to the States, Daniel performed at the Barbican Music Center, the Royal Festival Hall and regularly at Cambridge University's West Road Recital Hall.
Daniel regularly plays Viola with the Lynchburg Symphony Orchestra, Lynchburg College Orchestra, and serves as Principal Violist for the Bedford Community Orchestra. Daniel is a member of the Pasacaglia Quintet, Four Seasons String Quartet, the Farmville Quintet, the musically eclectic group Square Peg and is the vocalist for jazz quartet The Sophistokatz. Daniel also performs and has recorded with Paddy Daugherty.
