Experience
Eric began performing professionally as a fiddle player at age 13 with the Roanoke area favorite, Carl Basham and the Hymns of Zion Singers. High School and College performance credits include 6 years participant in Junior High/High School Regional Orchestra as a cellist and was a member of the All State Orchestra in 1986. While attending Roanoke College for undergraduate studies in Music, Eric was a member of the Roanoke College Jazz Ensemble on bass, and the Roanoke College Piano Trio on cello.

Later performance experiences include performances with  the award winning show band Cheaper Than Therapy, work with local bands Eli Cook and Redhouse, Jacki B & the Backburners, South 29, The Tendencies, John Doe and the Nobodies, and with regional touring act Kevin Selfe and the Tornadoes.

Currently Eric performs with Paddy Dougherty, the Sophistokatz, the Great River Jazztet, Jus'Tone and Musicianism, The Sway Katz Jazz Orchestra and is a member of the Lynchburg Symphony Orchestra, The Bedford Community Orchestra and serves as Principal Bassist for the Valley Chamber Orchestra, the Farmville Quintet and the Central Virginia Choral Society Orchestra.
