Performance Experience
Roger has been a professional musician since 1980, performing first with the show band Night Magic. In 1982 Roger moved to Maine began touring with the Calico Band. With the Calico Band, Roger extensively toured New England and Eastern Canada, opening up twice for George Jones and once for Johnny Paycheck.
In 1984 Roger attended The Berklee Modern Method for Guitar course taught by Craig McCrea at the Guitar Workshop in Portland ME. Roger returned to Lynchburg in 1986 to begin his teaching career. Shortly there after Roger began performing with various local bands, most notably Lower Forty Grass. Presently Roger performs with the Sam Austin Band.
