Conner Absher
Conner Absher grew up singing around the family piano and developed a passion for harmony and performance from a young age. They started playing the drums and electric guitar at age 10, and the bass guitar followed a few short years later. They moved to Lynchburg in 2013 as a senior in high school and joined the E.C. Glass Rock Band. It was there, under the tutelage of Casey Wood, that they learned to study songs and what it meant to be in a band. With this newfound knowledge, they formed pop rock band Neat Denices and screamo band White Petals with friends they’d met at E.C. Glass and Staunton River High School. The golden goose was auditioning for and winning the drummer spot for the funk rock band The Ruckus in 2016. It’s 10 years later and they still play with those same folks in the pop band Stargazer and noise punk band dodomeki. Their teaching journey began in 2015 where they assisted with the E.C. Glass Rock Band for two years. They continue to make guest appearances for the Lynchburg Music Center’s School of Rock and have a firm dedication to building a local music scene that welcomes all people of all backgrounds.
