All Abilities Jam
Tuesdays 11am-12pm & Wednesdays 4:30pm-5:30pm
This is an inclusive, supportive music class designed for individuals with developmental, physical, or cognitive disabilities. Participants will engage in group music-making, rhythm activities, improvisation, and sensory-friendly exploration at their own comfort level. Caregivers are welcome to attend as needed.
Designed for ages 12 and up. Musical experience is not required
Children's Choir
Mondays 5:30pm-6:30pm​
Become a part of our Children's Choir, where young voices come together to create beautiful harmonies! Throughout the year, we focus on nurturing talent and fostering a love for music. Our choir takes special pride in our Christmas performance, bringing joy and festive spirit to the community with delightful carols and seasonal favorites. Join us as we celebrate the magic of the holidays through song!

Guitar Workshops
Elevate your guitar skills with our engaging one-day workshops led by Instructor Will Woodford. Whether you're a beginner or more advanced player, you'll dive into essential topics like music theory, melody creation and ear training. Each workshop caters to different experience levels, ensuring there's something for everyone. Join us unlock your musical potential!

Introduction to Music
Mondays 10:30am-11:30am
Introduce your child to the basics of music! Your toddler will learn the fundamentals of rhythm, pitch, and creative expression. With an emphasis on piano, this class encourages group activities,
sharing, and child development as preschoolers work together to complete class activities. Sessions incorporate review of new concepts to ensure little learners build a solid foundation while layering new music principles with previous material.

Jazz Ensemble
Fridays 6:30pm-7:30pm
Join our jazz ensemble, where musicians of all levels come together to explore the rich and world of jazz music. In this ensemble, you'll not only learn to play alongside fellow musicians but have the opportunity for performances throughout the year. Experience the thrill of improvisation and creativity as you dive into the rhythms and melodies that define this beloved genre. Let the spirit jazz of inspire you and ignite your passion for music!
Designed for ages 13 and up
Little's Music Lab
Wednesdays 10am-11am & Thursdays 4pm-5pm
This class introduces young children to music through play-based learning. We’ll explore rhythm, movement, singing, listening skills, and basic musical concepts using games, props, and age-appropriate instruments. The focus is on building coordination, confidence, and a love for music in a fun, low-pressure environment.

Designed for children ages 3-6
LMC House Band
Meets one Saturday per month.
Become a member of the Lynchburg Music Center House Band! Vocalists, guitarists, bassists, keyboardists, drummers and percussionist of any skill level. Meets one Saturday per month for group rehearsals with performances in May and December.

Some experience with instrument is necessary. No audition required.

Musical Theatre Camp
July 13-17, 2026
​Join us for Musical Theatre Day Camp where creativity takes center stage! Children will learn essential theatre skills, including acting, singing, and dancing over the course of five days. Each day will be filled with exciting activities and rehearsals, culminating in a performance at the end of the week to showcases their new talents. ​

Designed for ages 10-17
Rhythms & Recorders
Wednesdays 11am-12pm & Thursdays 5pm-6pm
​This class focuses on rhythm reading, ensemble playing, and basic music literacy using recorders and percussion instruments. Students progress through a “karate belt”–style system that marks skill development and keeps learning motivating and structured.
No prior music experience is required. Designed for children ages 6-9

School of Rock
June 15-19, 2026 & July 6-10, 2026
​Lynchburg Music hosts two weeks of School of Rock each summer, one in June and one in July. Over the course of five days, participants learn what it takes to start a band. Each day includes practical instruction and musical collaboration in preparation for a concert at the end of the week.​​
